    Learn the bloody rd code

yippie...... time to bitch, ok lets see amoungest us who can answer the poll corectly.

In the suituation attached below which car/s have the right away (see poll) all cars have a green light red for those at right angles

I bring this up because I sat at the bloody lights for 15min's trying to get through when it was my right away but the dicks in frount would not go.

Now I'm buggered if I know why the LTSA and cops cant do more to educate the drivers of NZ..... now I know the avarage NZ driver thinks they know better and own the bloody rd, but for fuk sakes instead of all the speeding/crash adds on TV showing the result..... why the hell not spend some of that money on adds that show the road rules corectly and avoid ahe crashs... it would be so easy just do it in cartoon format... simple :spudwhat:

No poll yet, but A and B have right of way.

EDIT: So does C if he stays in the far left lane.

They can all go 'cos you are supposed to turn into the lane nearest to you and there are three cars turning into three lanes. A and B would stay parralell and C is a DX corolla so hoofs it straight through, still with the indicator on smoking the place out! sorry, got excited.

Need more information. What are the traffic light colours at that moment? Some intersections would have A and B with a red light while C has the green arrow. Or is there a stop sign or just a give way sign.

yeah they can all turn as long as the bastards turning right obey the rules and stay in their lanes and don't come over into their left lane tooting their horn and giving the finger to the person turning left who quite legally is now in the lane they think they are entitled to

Heh, silly situations. Its this rule that is most commonly ignored (turning into the correct lane). If I was C, i'd give way (or at least be incredible cautious) even though I didnt need to because there's a 99% chance that someone's not going to stay in their lane.

I'm with Devil here. I'd rather sit back and watch A&B crash into each other while they try to jam into the same lane, than be involved in the accident, because both A&B will be wanting to go into the left lane anyway. Stuff the road code, I'd rather survive thanks.

hahahahaha, only someone in CHCH would wait patiently for 15 minutes, if you were in Auckland, you would have been out there with a hammer, getting things moving again instead of sitting back with yer speights

There are marked lanes. The Road Code says they can all go. But Murphy's Law says the kindy mum in the Pajero (vehicle C) will want to go directly to the righthand lane, the Asian taxi driver in vehicle A wants to drop off a fare immediately after having turned, and the boi racer in the Civic that goes Pish (vehicle B) also wants the righthand lane. Outcome? Chaos.

Yeah so true.... why the hell does traffic have to drive right across every lane to get the furtherest lane possible.... all cos 12 miles up the rd they want to turn off in that direction.
People must know that they are doing wrong but are to ignarant to be bothered doing the correct thing... only in NZ aye
