Not going cheap but it's the only one I've seen on TM in a long, long time (in any condition).

It's certainly a treat,..pity though that those mufflers just don't look right![]()

I think thats a good price
I have evolved as a KB member. Now nothing I say should be taken seriously.
I like it. But to me (and I realise it's so personal) it ain't worth that sort of money. The Z1000J was nothing out of the ordinary. Z1 yes. An Eddie Lawson Rep sure. A Z1R sure. ZX1100 even. GPZ900R certainly. But Z1000J? Nah.
nice bike for sure.
needs a set of standard pipes on it though.
i rode one when they were new,big smoothie.

I had an identical one I bought with 40 000 kms in 1985 for $4100.00 ....went overseas, came back, didn't like it any more and sold in the 90's for $3000.00. Sent to Japan I gather.
I was knocked off it by an old lady who did not see me and the alternator twisted the crank...easy motor to work on. I ride past the spot every day...
Here's my current Trademe favourites.

I didn't line up for a shot of experimental gene therapy juice.
History will record me as one of the smart ones.
Was originally looking at that but finally settle on this
1993 CB1000 project big,(red one on left) looks and rides like its new
No one believes me when I tell them its nearly 20 years old and have to point to rego to be convincing (it is a loose copy of the originall CB1100 which I used to ride and the CB1300 next to it is its modern retro brother)

had a z 1000 J ,had an appetite for oil though bought from brand new.It may have been caused by the extremely hot day i rode it frm Chch to picton.I traded my cb900 on it at norjos. The one i test rode was an absolute different beast, though for some reasion they werent keen i bought that one.Woulda been just as happy with another CB900 (woulda been the third one i owned from new)
My First proper Road bike was a Grey/white CB900F2, it was about 3 years old with 12,000ks on it when I purchased it, from memory it cost 4 or 5k and was beautiful to Ride, goodness know what possessed me to sell it (I swapped it for a TBucket)
Hence my Renewing of the Big CB interest
