Actually , that might be the trick set up next year , nitrogen doesnt change much and is cheap ,

watch this space closely I reckon! ( bet Honda is laughing all the way to the bank , ! 2 springs per bike , think of the production cost savings!)

Well Honda, yes. The first alloy-framed CRs were not good. Plus there have been plenty of technological advances in MX that have, in reality, been more of a fashion statement than an actual benefit. A fork works just as well right side up, but if the bike doesn't have USDs, it won't be taken seriously. The Euros are all proving there is nothing wrong (and even some significant benefit) in steel frames, yet wind back a few years and your bike was considered dated before it even got out of the showroom if it wasn't alloy framed.

But also, to make serious advances in technology, you have to get products out there, being tested and used in the real world. The actual benefit of air suspension on MX bikes may not be realised until the 3rd, 4th or what ever generation, but you won't get to that point if you don't go through gen 1, 2, 3, with Mr Public using and abusing them.

It will be interesting to see what happens with them over the next couple of years.

We were filling our Fox Shox with it in the late 70's and 80's. Please keep up Old Bean.

Cheers! The Fox's have a high and a low chamber. Around 150psi in the low, and up to 300 in the high! My next RM400 being built now is gonna use Fox spring/oil shocks...as the heat build up is an issue in those shocks.

i wonder if the lower pressure stops the big effects of heat that is the issue with the shocks, i presume the volume of air is much larger as well with the size of a modern 47mm fork, also forks do not tend to get hot to touch, where shocks do,

Yeah they'll have way more oil in 'em too which will help. Bigger surface area for cooling as well. I'm loving the look of both the new CR and the KX.

They were saying something about being able to increase internal piston and bottoming cone sizes, but i don't know what the fuck all that means.
That's all like some evil magic in there I leave it alone.. And the also said that between honda and kyb if they could test it the have tested it.
Keen for a lash on that KXF scott, cheers man.

    Will do scott.

Hows this from a vitalmx poster responding to the haters.. Cracked me up so true.

"that bike looks badass, not 100% sold on the pipe/pipes, but the thing looks pretty damn good, i think honda went all out on the changes for '13. some of you could ruin a good blow job, take it for what it is. if you don't like it, don't buy one. pretty simple"
