Smells at 100kph? Of course. Anything and everything that often act as an early warning system. But they are extremely unlikely to belong to your bike...
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I love the smell of fresh rain on a summers day.

...unless of course you are following someone else riding it.

The one thing I can smell a mile off is the guy in his cage with a lit cigarette and the window down.

definitely didn't smell when the bikes reg/rec caught fire.. first I knew of it was when I got home and stopped in the garage and there was smoke all around me and the thick smell hit me..

up til then I guess the smell was being blown behind me.. must have fired up close to home though or I'm sure the heat would have alerted me eventually.

Reg/Reg is more to the rear of the bike, so I would assume the guy behind me was selling that

    With ya on that.

However, we ride R1200RT-Ps for work, and we have to do annual recertifications, including such exercises as high speed braking, slow speed cone work, and road rides. The slow speed cone work involves trialling the rear brake, and feathering the dry clutch.

I have stood on the Ohakea airstrip we use and been able to smell a clutch that was 100 meters away. The smoke was also a clue. If you are skillful enough, the bike doesn't get too hot, but if you skill is average you use the bike to compensate.

Cow shit is also easy to smell. If you smell cow shit, and you can't see a stock truck, beware of the spillage on the road you might be about to encounter. Sheep shit likewise.

I can also always smell donuts from the work bike. Also from the work car, the work foot patrol, and the work office. Is it just me?
