Classic Yamaha

This bike (ex California) has recently been added to John McKay's collection at SpringLynne Motorcycles.
I reckon it's cool.

It's a Yamaha YD off road racer - the bike compared to piano's in "On Any Sunday II".

If my research is correct, this model evolved into 1960's "Catalina" & "Big Bear" road bikes, including a Street Scrambler version that surely must be Yamaha's first Adventure bike, even before the DT1?

Wow that is a cool old bike

Love the quote from the You Tube clip - ".... A Yamaha, by the look of it they should stick to making pianos" and "that'll probably be the last Yamaha they send over here". Classic stuff
