The Registration part will probably come down, but the ACC component will stay the same or possibly even go up.

Makes no difference really when rego part is only tiny comparring to the proportion of ACC levy

    It did say:
    slightly cheaper fees
I wonder if it'll be enough for the wife and I to go out and have one drink each together.

    I suspect not.

Rego goes down slightly, petrol taxation rises, we still lose.

We better go ride our motorbicycles is an orderly fashion in Wellington as a protest, please do not be noisy, obnoxious and most of all don't be rude.

Registration might alter but that is peanuts and does not include or effect the ACC component!

That one's a bitch... lots of trucks running lower stickers because of the loads they carry. Don't see how that one's fair or justified.

Yep looks really good - petrol levy up 2c a litre which they say will cost an average motorist $30 a year but its countered by the rego administration fee being halved from approx $7 to $3.50 if you do it online. Whoopeee! So if you register for just 1 month at a time that'll counter the petrol increase ay!
