its a 2 day ride so yes saturday is a short day get there an be ready to go at 11 and then when the gates open you should be able to get in 3-4 laps 5 if your quick an stay off the AA AAA loops
but make sure you have good tyres and are prepared for the cold cause anything facing south will be frozen in this weather and all your gear and bike will be iced over sunday morning and tracks will be covered in it and ground frozen awsome awsome ride though well worth the drive been an done it 4 times

If you want to do the triple A loops then make sure you're first off the line. After the first loop forget it.

One of our mates ran out of gas(rather didn't fill up) and spent 5 hours sitting in the cold a few years ago. Its the Brass Monkey for off road bikers!! so go prepared.

Love this ride, Done it for the last 7 years. As the guy before said make sure you have good tyres cause the ground is usually frozen and the hills are bloody slippery.
Better make sure you have a fire to dry the gear for the sunday haha.

It is awesome but can be carnage! Kinda the point though. Make sure you keep an eye out though as last year someone moved the "home" sign and you could end up back on the loop. I prefer the second day though.... is more fun.

However last year there were a lot of people that saw it as a race and not a trail ride. Not sure why though. It wasn't just me that thought it either. But you get that at times.

I am still 50/50 as to doing the ride after last incident at Jolly Rooster....oops.... But really want to. Hope my boss doesn't find out??!
