I had looked at bringing a bike in from USA as well. Problem is that with conversion to NZD shipping and GST it is better to try and find one in the country.
The bike I have organised is an 09 made 10 registered XB12X now if you have an XB12XT best you hang on to it as it is they are nearly as scarce as flying rocking horses. Less than 2000 ever made. [ around 7500 XB12X's]
If you hang on to them it will be interesting to see their worth in 10 years or so.
I really like those wet clutch multistradas as well but a bit too pricey just yet.
Best fueling map next consideration ?
By the bye Clinton from Wellington Motorcycles has been most helpful and willing to assist with organise transport of the bike from Welly even though I didn't purchase this one from them [ bought my last Uly from there] now that's good old fashioned customer service for you.
