You shouldn't believe everything you read in Pillow-biter's Weekly.

    Right, where to start?

I've owned and ridden Victory's since '08. Started with a Kingpin on which I put 50,000 trouble-free km and now have a Highball.

The engines have only ever been touched to get the standard service done. On my Kingpin i put a few accessories which I managed to track down quite easily:

    Drag pipes - Victory
    Fly bars - Victory
5 degree rake kit with chrome triple tree and fat fork covers - Kewl Metal
other bits and pieces of chrome - other vendors
Various bits and pieces from S&S, Cycleops, WitchDoctor, Lloydz, Hot Vic etc etc etc

Thus far with the Highball I am deliberately keeping it pretty stock. Just a set of swept pipes and a luggage rack from Cycleops. Since February I've managed a 3 day trip around East Cape and an over-nighter to Whangamomona plus various day trips.

Given my girth I think I'll add a front seat back rest as I found it very comfortable to lean against my soft bag on the longer trips and that seemed to eliminate numb-bum.

I've owned and ridden H-Ds and I'm very happy with my Vic

I could burble on and on but I won't (can't be arsed). if you have any questions I'm happy to answer them

    I recommend it

But - it is what it is. The Highball has nearly an inch less clearance than my Kingpin did and the hero blobs don't last very long.

Having said that, though, the 106 cube motor in a relatively small frame gives all the roll-on torque you could ever want and it'll get ya anywhere you want to go smoothly and with some style.
