Slippery bit of road at times - had back wheel slide due to compression lock-up a couple of times heading down it (towards Nelson) on the T-Sport on a wet day.

The crash was on the Hope saddle. So it was a bit further up than the coast. The bit I saw ... was a bit of a straight stretch and didn't seem to be going that quickly. Not much room for cars ahead of him to get out of his way either.

Aaahhhh the Hope Saddle , an awesome piece of road that leads you into the awesum Kawatiri bit of road that takes you to the coast...
The Cops 'round here have to deal with quite a bit of carnage & police the roads hard 'cause there"s fark all crime eh

The big 'uns can sometimes be very slippery too, a bit like the Hope saddle road. IYKWIM, DAMHIK.

As a young Serviceman in the late 80's and 90's we use to have competitions...
Bring back the ugliest Kangarillapig and or proof.... many a crate donated and never won...

Further more he know all the traffic was stopped at the accident site. As far as I could see, he ensured there was 100m of road ahead at all times too.

Remember, there is also a chance the camera sits lower than a person does in the car too.....

Fair call,when watching it i just imagined coming over the crest on 2 wheels,but then its such a great bit of road i will just shuddup.
