    Not too painful!
    Not too painful indeed.

Here's a comparison...new 14L Safari tank for WR250R only $724 NZ. Had to be done but ow.
Guess I'm still helping to pay for R n D and moulds etc.

Justgastanks? Ebay have IMS 3 gal $405 delivered for your shiny noo WR. Your paying $108 for each of those 3 extra litres ya know!

How much of that quote was freight Carl?

My tank is $203 US = $253 kiwi peso with justgastanks, they hav an archaic shipping calc tho.

That's all inclusive, the Safari tanks are more expensive and appear to be a bit nicer than the IMS. I looked at other options such as the IMS (too big) and also looked at buying from Safari in Auss or Just gastanks in the States as that's where we got the DR tanks from. I decided I did not want the IMS for several reasons... the aesthetics and the sloshing effect of half full bigger tanks to name two. I felt the weight of the fuel slosh a little bit on the DR in the rough at times though it wasn't a big problem.
All prices for the Safari one worked out about the same after freight and the uncertainty of taxes at that price so I went to Yamaha NZ where I knew what I was getting and I only have to wait two days instead of two weeks.
Took a lot to get the bike, be fecked if I'm putting a tank I don't really want on it now just because it's cheaper.

Justgastanks charged us about US$70 (or could have been NZ$70?) freight per tank if I recall correctly on the IMS 18.5 Litre tanks way back when.

How's it. I've got a workmate wondering if you still have this long range tank. He's been looking for one for his XR250 with steel tank
