    RiderSkills Confident Rider Course

I just completed the Confident rider course through RiderSkills, totally recommend it for every person on two wheels!! Philip was awesome, I was a bit nervous and worried but Philip made me feel at ease. I am proof that you can teach old dogs new tricks! I will be putting everything I learned into practice everytime I ride so it becomes second nature. The course was one on one and taylored for me. Keep up the great work Philip!

Yep, Philip is the absolute best. When I was doing my first IAM assessment with him, he gave me an absolute riding masterclass. I was following him through the twisties out West Auckland way listening to his running commentary through a headset. His situational awareness skills when riding at pace were out of this world.

Gives the rest of us something to aspire to

Oh, and congrats on raising your skills. Too many riders whinge about cage drivers whilst conveniently avoiding doing anything to raise their own roadcraft skills

    +1 to this.

I did a course with Philip a while ago and it blew me away how much information he was able to observe and process in his commentary as he rode along.

Afterwards I felt like I'd been riding around with my eyes closed – have been trying ever since to narrate my own rides to the same high level as per his example, although that may be more of an aspirational than a realistic goal for my tiny brain...however I'm definitely much better at it than I used to be.

He was very patient with me also.

I have a big problem with Phillip from Riderskills.

Everywhere I ride now I hear a heavily accented voice reading out the hazards.........

But really, its a bloody good course. I will be doing one again.

In saying that Ive done courses with Ridertraing and they were great also. Did my BHS with them.

I think in Auckland we are blessed with some very good trainers.

Took me 8 months of stress to pass my IAM full membership test but the feeling of accomplishment was almost indescribable. Now it's time to put something back into others. I thought I was an ok rider before hand but I now know the truth.
