An excellent bike and a bargain at that price. I have one very similar to that; same age, colour and at 80km. I've done the last 30k of those and it's been comfortable, reliable and fast. It's lighter than most of the other 80s 750s at 199kg dry and that water cooled V4 makes a lot more power everywhere than the air cooled 750s I've ridden. Sounds pretty good too.

The riding position is probably closer to that CBR1000 than a GSX750ES but it's not a sports crouch by any means. I do 800km days quite comfortably. If you read some reviews you'll find that the VFR was very highly regarded in it's day and it still has plenty of fans out there.

Sounds good... I'll keep an eye on it and make enquiries.

Seems an acceptable compromise between the CBR and GSX.

Damage = Right mirror, coolant overflow bottle cracked, front rim minor bend, left side fairing minor damage, front mud guard minor scratches, right side fairing damage, right front foot peg & bracket damage.

Minor for a right-off...cool bikes, be worth a bid or two.

It would make a good reliable ride though with comfort seating position and fun in the twists. Idd be tempted myself if I could afford another bike.

FZX750s are cool. FZR750 motor in a cruiser style chassis. Kinda like a little VMAX.

Indeed, all the looks and style of a V-Max without the bulk and weight. The foot pegs position also make it more a sports cruiser/muscle bike?

Wish I could be more confident about buying that one... Questions about parts and tyres nag at me.

A lot of motorcycles are written off due to cost of replacement plastics ... new plastic costs being so high ... as they usually have to be sourced ex Japan. A local repair/repaint can work in your favour. Rim's can be repaired ... but the cost of a new one, wouldn't be the end of the world.

At 34,000 km's ... you shouldn't need engine parts for quite a while.

Unless you plan on pranging it ... I'd say go for it at that price. Worry about parts later.

It's not a V-Max ... so without drag-strip starts ... and lots of rear wheel only braking ... you should get around 9,000 km's out of the back tyre. Plenty of time to "find" another one.

If you like the style (and it is a Yamaha ) ... and can afford it ... DO it ...

Hmmmm, seems the seller wants $3,400 minimum for it, so out of my budget range for the moment, maybe end of the year if it's still available...

OK, scratch the VFR, too much bike for me to handle at this stage.

What about this Yamaha YX600 Radian? Another baby V-Max...
