Oh...
Yes, that's top of my rather limited list... Thanks, Katman.

sorry man,but nobody on here can tell you what bike is right for you.
you obviously already ride, so go sit on/test ride some bikes (lots of bikes) if you have your 6F it's likely anyone will let you blat on thier bike (from club ride, ie), if not, there's still a good many people who will let you loose on their beasty.
seems like you're going for more of an upright riding position on a sport-tourer. so go test ride some. i'll be coming back through akl this weekend, i'm happy to let you go for a skid on mine
(you break it you buy it. because i own it, it's worth your bike + money to repair/replace =D )
Not that, just wanting to hear from anybody whose had first hand experience riding/owning the bike so they can tell me if it's worthwhile owning, i.e. reliability, maintenance, extreme weaknesses, etc.
For how it rides for me, I can either adapt [as long as it's somewhere around the sitting posture I prefer] or if horribly uncomfortable, flog the beast off to the next victim... owner.
What a great sales pitch!![]()

It's not local, but here's another model in your price range that you might want to consider.
The venox will get to Taumaranui Tig, no worries go for a cruise and check it out.
Or take a road trip in a car and I'll come take a gander at it for you.
Then I could drive back and you could ride it home.
Every day above ground is a good day!:
If your going to spend 1500-2k on a bike dont rush as I check bike for sales every day and other than the blue one theres not many on tard me listed this week or last that are worth getting. Idd wait for a cosmetic repair revere650, bros 600 or a early 90s bike. Unless your passion is making a early 80s bike mint and not worried about the cost to do so they arnt the best value other than go to work hacks.
If you want to spend money on bearings, bushes, rebuild, suspension, brakes and cosmetic because your in love with the era bike then fair enough.
I have evolved as a KB member. Now nothing I say should be taken seriously.
Cheers all!
Caseye - Something to consider, see how the WOF report goes...
Katman & FJrider - I do very much fancy that blue GSX, certainly!
Maha - Thanks, that's the kind of info and feedback I'm after - tapping into KBers' experiences and 1st hand knowledge.Strike that off my list!
Ender Enzed - Budget = yes. But sinfully ugly though!
That's the plan, actually. I've got a nice pretty cruiser already, just want an old workhorse to take me to work and home.

What do you guys think of this?

Looks pretty sweet to me. From a close-to-Full-license rider's and performance/mechanical point of view, will this bike be suitable for me?

OK, just heard from the seller of the blue GSX750. Got WOF and fixed the bent indicator as well.
She's coming back to me with info on the tyres since the bike was sitting around for 3 years, then we'll go further from there...
