Anyone know anything about the 1983 Suzuki GSX750ES?

GS = 2 valves per cylinder while GSX = 4 valves per cylinder.

(Unfortunately, no-one ever told the 'Merkins).

true to a point Steve but the four valve ones were still badged GS in America so the odd one still surfaces here

I had the GSX750ESG. It was a very versatile bike and could be used for everything from commuting to long distance touring. I even won the national Road Trial Championship on it in 1989 (KR500 for those who remember it). You'll love it, and a great way to step up to medium capacity bikes.

But the GSX750ES series is 4 valves per cyclinder, so GSX prefix is correct.
