Full licence test. So close...

Hi, i'm actually very close to taking my full licence test on the motorbike, and was just wondering what it would consist of and how they would test the hazard detection. i'll be taking my full in browns bay auckland..so please help out if anyone knows..im quite nervous XD

mate haven't done my full there yet but did my restricted at browns bay a month or so ago and asked the tester what the difference would be for the full, he said just more driving at 80-100km/h range. He said for the hazard perception you just drive along for a bit and he asks what you saw. They have ear speaker systems so I assume he asks you to nodd or shake your head when he says "was there a hazard?", alternatively I guess he gets you to pull over and asks what he saw. Had a moari fulla for an instructor and he was golden.

shot..i presume not too hard then?..cos im male and i cant multitask, talk while driving...let alone talk while riding...i mean..most of the examiners ive had at browns bay are pretty motionless and grumpy..

No, there is a list somewhere near the back telling you exactly what will be in the test Failing that, get on line - I'm sure the appropriate official site will tell you. Once again, good luck.

Finally decided to get off my bum and I'm sitting my full next Tuesday (could have taken care of it ages ago, but was never really needed for my commuter bike so didn't care). So if anyone that's sat it recently has any handy tips I'd appreciate it.

I got my full class 1 and my class 6 restricted a few months back, basically the instructor said it was pretty hard to fail the restricted and full license tests as long as you remember to give way and have both feet on the ground at stop sign.

Hazard detection for my class 1 was retarded, all it involved was saying shit like "car on right, car straight ahead" or " pedistrian on pavement".

I just did my full test today in this lovely auckland weather.

Was pretty easily, even with the horrible conditions (rain + very gusty wind)
My advice is

• don't ride like a muppet
• obey the road rules
• relax

you passed your restricted, the full test isn't really any harder.

Ummmm.....it's called 'hazard detection' because that 'car on right, car straight ahead, and pedestrian on pavement' can really fk you up if you haven't seen them and they do something unexpected.
