    If ya read the Q&A below, the seller states that the rider rode through newly sealed road and the tar/stones flicked up onto the bike damaging the sides/underneath.

    EDIT: Hmm I swear I remember reading that on the auction. Or maybe it was another thread.

    The owner never washed the bike down afterwards so the "damage" stuck to the bike permanently.

    It was cheaper to rite the bike off rather than strip it down completely to remove the tar. Hence the wreckers auction

    I like them for sure. But I think there are other bikes around that are sexier and represent better value.
