I can think without effort of about 10 corners the same as that in the cant region,
And most are on main roads.
Shall we place a police unit on them all
    That would be so good.
everybody else could just go crazy....

What do you think would happen if they policed say one of those corners each week, only take one cop?
Would the bitching and moaning warn other road users that they should pay attention to their road position?

Would the accident rate drop on that ... and the other intersections ... ???

Our esteemed donut muncher ... is no doubt witness to much driver stupidity ... from the controls of marked police vehicles already. On the times they aren't there .... what changes ... ???

The illogicality of this place makes me laugh.

On one hand we have people screaming that policing an artibary speed limit is nothing but revenue gathering and on the other hand many of those same people thank that it's ok to ignore other basic road rules - rules that when ignored have far greater potential for motorcycling disaster.

What is illogical? They don't like the speed limit and they don't like obeying other road rules. They probably don't like rules at all.

Some don't like the arbitrary speed limits, especially when lies have been told or they are being lowered for illogical reasons such as an accident in excess of the current limit being used to lower the limit further or a limit being lower until safety improvements are completed and then staying there after the so called improvements. However they are willing to obey rules that have obvious a safety implications such as cutting blind corners.

But is more policing the answer to the problem ... or a stop-gap untill a solution can be found to the problem. If indeed a problem can be identified. (read admitted)

    Um ...

On the corner mentioned (and pictured) ... they don't. (hence the grumbles about that corner) And on many corners other than that one as well.

So why would a police officer say, on this thread, that while he could easily fulfill his 'quota' on that corner he's not actually interested in policing it at all.

    Doesn't make sense to me.

It would make sense ... if there was a quota. But there isn't ... he told me that himself.

He wouldn't lie to me ... would he ... ???
