    Tool kit?

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this thread but here goes!

Do you carry a tool kit with you?

If yes, what do you carry?

Do you have different kits for different times? ie - daily vs long ride etc

I carry a Cruz Tools (from Performance Cycle Wholesale/AMPS) metric kit like the one pictured, along with some safety wire and cable ties - beats the spark plug socket and an allen key that Ducati give you! Click image for larger version.

On my vintage Honda I just carry the OEM tool kit which is surprisingly good for a 31 year old Jap bike: Click image for larger version.

I also carry one of those 'Genuine Innovations' brand puncture repair kits which is a 'must have' item IMHO. Click image for larger version.

Thankfully I've never needed to use any of these on my own bikes, but they have come in handy to fix friends bikes in the past.
Both of my bikes are pretty damn reliable though (touch wood), if you've got something less trustworthy or with known issues you'll want to carry more and perhaps specific parts as well.

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? ...He's a mile away and you've got his shoes

I carry a tool kit in each of my bikes.

In the harley I carry a basic tool kit. It has enough tools to get me out of trouble on the side of the road and its specific to my bike.

I have just swapped the 1/4" socket set for the wee micro one. I also carry a wee tin of nuts, bolts and split pins. It has been the most used and usefull thing to carry.

On the old side car I carry a much larger set. Again it is specific to that vehicle, its metric for a start. The 7/8" open ender is to take the axle nut off.
