Sorry to hear that mate. Been there, and it's not nice. Don't know whether its worse when unemployment's high (harder to get a job, but at least you feel you've got company) or the reverse (easier to find a new job, but aful lonesome).

Hope you negotiated a good payout.

With your experience... Print your own money!
Hit the add placers, Colenso, Ogli & Mather, etc.

Sorry to hear that Riffer. Been there twice now, and it was not a nice feeling. I would have felt better being fired (incompetence - drunk - public indecency etc) rather than "You are surplus to requirements"
Good time to be looking though. Best of luck

My sympathies too, I've been made redundant twice and also fired a couple of times too (once was constructive dismissal, they didn't replace me) and you start to question "why me?" It is hard to find work when you are unemployed even if you are highly skilled, no one will deny that, but keep trying. I ended up going freelance and it's the best move I've ever made. Plenty of time for riding, plenty of time for living - and after only THREE YEARS I am actually starting to make some money - ha ha!

And as for your comment, Winja, trust me, most women wish guys would leave their helmets on too! Sure, I may look better with a helmet on, but not every woman can be tarred with the same brush!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

You better stop drinking now or you'll get yourself in trouble.
