In a previous life working in the bicycle industry I was at a trade show in LA and had a britten t-shirt on,I was approached by a mid 20's guy who was fizzing over the britten then he showed me some pics of him welding up the VR1000 frames pretty cool ,Oh yea and I got to meet two of my idols there Greg Lemond and Mert Lawwill spent a bit of time talking to Mert about suspension systems. fuck I just might have to watch On any Sunday again.

I wanted to do the forks, and appreciate your kind offer. Alas I can't even afford to pay attention, so a wheel and brakes and the like are way outa reach.

I know it mate. The RF is a fuckin great horse, and peddled right will smash most road riders, but it is lacking as any 20 year old bike would be.

For sale if someone wants a thrasher.

That's my point. It's how you're riding it...not the RF. That's why an HD in the right hands can go well too mate.

Not entirely, the bike is pretty bloody good all things considered. Faster to 160k's than an '04 CBR1000, gotta be not too bad.
