Unhappy Where to get a WOF in East Auckland?

Just wondering if anyone has advice on where to get a WOF for my bike in East Auckland on a weekend. The weeks are busy, so it's something I like to do when I'm chilling out in the weekend.

Over the years I have tried a number of different VTNZ and VINZ places, and so many times been turned away because the bike "expert" has been away. 'Expert' is an interesting concept, on one recheck on the brakes, I had to explain to the technician how the brakes worked. In the end he just asked me to show him that the bike would stop. So I had to leave a nice long black mark on his nice polished floor. Not sure why they polish the floors, they can be a hell of a slippery in the wet. The brakes didn't really even need doing, the pads still had half their life left.

Oops, sorry to ramble. If anyone's still reading ... any suggestions?

I usually phone around the local VTNZ branches on a Sat/Sun to confirm who has an accredited tester on duty. Mt Wellington is likely to be one of your closest options.

I've never had a problem at VTNZ takanini, Drivesure in Highland park, or what ever the one is on Rosscommon rd - technically only one is east auckland, but its not far to go... never ever been turned away at any of em..

Yeah, ring the place first, to make sure their bike person is on duty, sometimes they are away training. VTNZ has 3 branches in the Botany Area, which should make it pretty easy. I go to The Hub usually (next to Botany Town Centre), another in Cryers Road and another behind Warehouse Stationery nearby.

We always use the AA testing station in Glen Innes for all our vehicles.
They are much friendlier and more realistic with their requirements than VINZ.
Have never had an issue where there wasn't someone who could test the bikes.

I got my WOF and registration done at the AA Vehicle Testing station in Panmure last week. Friendly service and only took 10 minutes from the time I turned up.

    They're open 8am to 1pm on Saturdays.
