    Pillon seat for T-bird

Does anyone know the difference between the single touring seat and the two piece unit for the T-bird when it comes to comfort for the pillon besides the price. The original seat wasn't that great after a run up to Whitianga and back and complaints of a numb bum were heard coming from behind.!

Get it re-packed, re-shaped, and new upholstery.

    Be way cheaper.

The aftermarket pillion pad is apparently very comfy (according to she who knows). However it doesn't flush mount into the back of the original riders seat, it leaves a gap of about an inch. Changing to the aftermarket touring riders seat fixes that (and fixes your sore arse)
The one piece touring seat is the same comfort level as the aftermarket 2 piece seats from what I understand.

I have both the addon Longhaul Passenger Seat and the Longhaul Dual Touring Seat, both have the same comfort level for the passenger and are much better than the original passenger seat as the Longhaul ones tapers out-wards making the top much wider seat area, but when it comes to the rider I found that the addon Longhaul passenger seat did not match up nicely together with the riders seat and for me it left an uncomfortable lump in the lower part of my back, sometimes my jacket or vest would get caught between them.

When riding twoup or going 500+ km rides I prefer the Longhaul Dual Touring seat as it has about 1-1½” more padding for rider, and you also get the option to install the adjustable backrest/Pad.
