    Mid Winter Trail Ride

Its been damn quiet on KB lately, especially in the Off road section. No scandolous goss or controversy for a long time.

This weekend we have a Mid Winter ride on that may well get talked about a bit after the event. Some great single track sections as well as a whole lot of freshly graded and prunned track with easy options and a seperate kids track of about 1km..

Totally rideable by all but please remember when we say no quads or novices on a section it does actually mean that.

A few of the old 2 man tracks have been used but have had the machinery over them and they are mint (until a few hundred bike destroy them)
This Sunday 29th July, Rimmers Rd, sign posted and arrowed from the Sandpit into Woodhill forest.

Love to come but I'm somewhere in the Urewera's this sunday (hopefully not as lost as usual)... Sounds like a great ride, the sand will be perfect after this rain!

    Hey Tony,

Any of this stuff going to be in next months 2man. In particular for the Jnr race? If so I'll make a big effort to take Tawny out there for some early heads ups.

Most of the junior race will use some of these tracks (junior race is normally 8km long).
The seniors will use only a very small portion of the track. There is some bloody good riding to be had.

    First ride back!

I promise not to cry like a baby or get a special ride out this time!

I am nervous as hell but working on the basis that if I am going to have any issues it is better to be at an organised ride than on my own out the back of the "pit".

    See you there!

Well we had a pretty good ride yesterday. The rain stayed away and the turn out and feedback we have recieved was great. Thanks to those who made it.

The next event is round two of the 2 Man cross country race 19th August. Its in the same place but the senior track is 95% new from the ride track.. The Junior track hasn't been planned yet.

    Mean ride!

Thanks so much to Tony & the Sandpit Team for all the effort that went into yesterday's track - it was awesome
I only managed to get around the big loop twice & did a couple of the expert sections each time - a wee bit of a challenge but nothing unachievable soo much fun !
The little dude loved the kids track, & learnt some valuable lessons about respecting tree roots - he found one little jump in there & named it "Ezra's Hill" - put the willies up me following him around :0. Thanks Tony from one very tired 6yr old
Can't wait for the next Endless ride
