Vancouver bikes

I'm moving from Welly to Vancouver for a while, and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for places to look for bikes apart from Craigslist...

Also any thoughts on riding in that neck of the woods would be appreciated - I've spent plenty of time riding on both sides of the road, so that's not a worry, but any tips on laws/regulations particular to bikes would be handy.

Carter Honda is a pretty good place to start. They are at 1502 W 3rd Avenue Granville Island on False Creek. Got a good range of gear as well. Ask for Adam.
