'07 SV1000 suspension setup for wet roads?

Ok im flying up to AK thursday and riding back to Ch-Ch over a few days cause of the
probable crap weather. Myself and gear will be aprox 115kgs in tubbyness , im after a
ballpark setting for the conditions, Im thinking a bit on the softer side for this purpose,
Oh and tyre pressures as well.

Indeed those black round things are the most important thing. The suspension is too stiff for you because the springing is too soft for your personal stats and loading. So its using much too much travel just at static ride height and arriving at both too much of a pre compressed state in the front end and arriving at the more aggressive part of the link ratio in the rear. Adjusting preload is not going to fix that, it needs firmer springing with LESS preload so that it will ride higher in its stroke and have a much more supple and therefore ''road grippy'' action.

True, just had a look at the pics and they're bt 016s have no personal exp with these
they look like a summer tyre?

Ahh ok, have'nt ridden this bike im just wanting to get home, but im more than happy to something

No offence mate, but that's a small bike for a big guy like you.

Best advice: 38psi in rear tyre and 34 in front.

Well i got home back to Ch Ch today bit sore from carrying a pack, bike went fine apart from harsh/choppy suspension, thought id try it as is as ya never know, put up with it from AK to Taupo
then investigated, all compression and rebound wound in fully so backed off 2 full turns - much
better for me, the 016's were fine as rode to the conditions.

Bang for buck 5K with some minor tidying was value to me.
