    New Gas Gas 300

I Bought a new towing vehicle last year and it came with the number plate GAS300 (not personalised) so I just had to go out and buy the appropriate bike to match. Haven't ridden it yet but this weekend better watch out. I took more photos but they were shit due to poor light conditions. I'll take some more when it gets dirty.
This is a bike I won't have to do much to. The grips are even pre wired and its dripping with quality parts not to mention the electric start which works a treat. It has a couple of dumb things like seat removal bolt under the rear fender and the battery has to be removed to get at the air filter.

    Bastard!
    I want that bike!
Mine's fine I just want a new one....
Having said that, Check the main engine bearing seals aren't fitted. Mine ran bearings at about 100hrs from the bearing shields/seal being fitted.
Otherwise awesome bike! You'll have a ball!

What are Gas Gas bikes like in terms of reliability compared to the Japanese dirt bikes?

As good, if not better. Not really anything Japanese to compare it too though.
Is easily on par with KTM 300.

They are a well built bike, they are well engineered, reliability is as good as anything else on the market, the biggest issue is lack of maintenance from the owner, you can wreck any bike not maintaining it and that goes for KTM, Husaberg, Sherco, Husky etc, if you maintain them you will have a good run.

As compared to Japanese, no different, if you dont maintain it, it will shit it self.
