Went out today for practice and qualifying. Awesome fields in every race, get out to Hampton if you can, you won't regret it

Old boy in my Open Post Classic was doing 1:28 laps on his old BMW twin....he was 70....gives me hope.
I liked the Zundapp sidecar outfit...1958 and raced at Bathurst in 1960 by the German owners....cool

Did you notice the chair was on the opposite side from all the rest of them?

Yes, his is a Euro Sidecar, built as an outfit in Germany in late 50's, raced at Bathurst in 1960. He even tracked down the build sheet from the racing authority who does that stuff....
    gearbox is chains and sprockets....
I asked about riding it and he said it made no difference being on the right.

Probably the most unusual sidecar there apart from the BMW one with the funny heads...

It was set up for a R/H circiut. We have different heads with the carbs facing different ways to get the airflow right past the bellmouths, depending on wind direction.

Wonderful weekend, classic means different times to everyone, '70's was my time and I was in heaven. Huge thanks to everyone who helped to put on such a great show!
