Freewilly starting to look the part

The reflector came adrift in the headlight of my Freewind. It's an expensive sealed unit (also the beam strength is rubbish), so I decided to pull finger and do what I have had in mind for ages, which is replace it with a lighter (and tidier IMO) enduro unit.

The new unit with mounting hardware and indicators weighs about 1kg. The stock unit included copius bodywork mounted on an elaborate (and very heavy) steel frame which in-turn was mounted on the headstock, all weighing around 6kg. I have used the stock instrument unit which I have mounted on a custom made alumnium plate attached to the top triple clamp.

I have also managed to find a better front fender to go with the 21" wheel. Its not a perfect colour match with the side covers but is a lot better than the flimsy yellow abomination previously used.

5kg less over the front wheel. You'll be wheelstanding everywhere.
Showing off for the camera since ages ago

Does that come with the full cylinder all done?

    How much was that kit?

We expect a full report once it's fitted.
