The title of that pic is the "Skilton Four" - any relation to the Skilton from (I think) Pahiatua, of the Skilton/Larson sidecar fame?

Any more details of that bike? What became of it?

I possibly had the left hand crankcases to that bike - 2 T100, or maybe a T100 and 5T cases welded together in a V. I pulled them, and 2 650 cranks out of Strong Bros scrap pile when they were in Penrose. I had the cases on the mantle piece for a while - I have no idea what happened to them, but must've passed them onto someone more suitable.

this bike was sold to the UK soon after it was made and featured in a mag article motorcycle 24 feb 1966, now there's a challenge folks, some old fogie with a neice with a scanner will have that copy ...

Well that clears up a 33 minute mystery. 2 crankshafts and 2 crankcases welded together - I searched through all the rubbish but couldn't find anymore parts. I had enough parts at home to complete the V twin, but a bit pointless. I fitted one of the 650 cranks into a 5T case anyway, it probably felt right at home.

I've been told Mo Haley had a bit to do with that one...no idea how true that is but the Skilton/Haley connection seems likely.

It reappeared in a classic bike mag a few years back (with a note that it had possibly come from NZ) and I was sure it was the same bike. I remember the article but disposed of the magazines... Oh well....
