Cross country returns to MR Motorcycles Raceway Harrisville, 14 October

Cross Country Returns to MR Motorcycles Raceway Harrisville

Returning for 2012 is the Pukekohe Motorcycle Clubs Harrisville Cross Country on the 14th of October.

Run over the MR Motorcycles Raceway property using part of the National Motocross track, some Natural Terrain, some Motocross and some Extreme Endurocross sections, bringing together some of NZ’s best off road talent onto one track.

First run in 2010 the Senior race was held over 3 hours (of approx 10 minutes laps) and attracted some of the fastest riders from the top half of the North Island. With some of the top riders from Enduro, Cross Country and Motocross the team of Blake Gillard and Brandon Tipene came out on top.

Again this year will be a fund raiser for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, with proceeds being split between the Auckland and Waikato Regions, providing funding for the services so that when we need it most it will be there.

Also this year there will be a 1.5 hour race for the Juniors on 85cc sized machines and smaller,

    (Transponder Hire $15)

(2 bikes can be used; however transponder must be changed between bikes at the pit stop)

    Senior Race

Senior Sign on 10.30 to 11.30

    Riders Briefing 11.30

Senior Race starts at 12:00 sharp

The Two Man is made up of the following classes:

    Senior Entry Fee Team $50
    Iron Man Entry $40

Congrats to the winners ( everyone who turned up!) Your track designing skills are very cool Scott, my girls loved the whole track, except for maybe 20m down the by the bottom corner, which was character building! Amazing what can be done with 40 odd acres!

    Bring on next year

Was an awesome event! Brooklyn is now keen to do more of that kind of stuff - had he been asked on the 1st & 2nd lap he would have said no as at that point he was ready to quit! By end he'd figured it out & didn't want to stop.
He's now also keen to get onto the big mx track on club days.
