    Do I. Don't I?

We recently bought a Moto Guzzi Bellagio for Mrs J to step up to and I flew up to Tauranga to ride it home for her. Even though it pissed down most of the way down the North Island and some of the South I really enjoyed the ride. A completely different riding position and style that I am use to with my Jackal. I enjoyed it so much I have been looking at perhaps changing to something different myself along the lines of a sports tourer. I want to stay with Moto Guzzi.

I am not good making long winded decisions like this. I am the sort of person that makes instant decisions when buying 'big ticket' items. I went to town one day to buy a new angle grinder and came home with a $2500 S/S BBQ. Popped into Noel Lemming when passing a few years back to just have a look at one of those 'i' pod thingies and walked out with a 60" TV. Stopped in Moorhouse Ave to stretch our legs after driving back from Blenheim and ended up trading the car in on an Audi TT and finished our trip back home in that! So you get the drift. If I was just in the bike shop to buy some visor cleaner and just happened to look at the Breva chances are I would have traded the Jackal then and there and ridden home on a new bike. But I did'nt. I've been researching and looking and asking questions and still have not got any closer to making up my mind.

The bike I am looking at is the Moto Guzzi Breva 1200. Does anyone reading this have one, if so, how do you find it? Have thrown my leg over one but not taken one for a ride yet. Won't be able to do that for a week or two yet.

Don't get me wrong, I still love riding my Jackal and ride it every day, but is it possible I have out grown a cruiser? So guys and gals, please help me out, do I or don't I?

    Try one and see

You'll notice the difference in motor and box

But I wouldn't swap a Jackal for one

    Just my $0.02

I had the original 1100 Cali in the mid 90's and a Spada before that. I've ridden the new Guzzi's and the Breva is a great bike. THe griso is a little different in the power etc, My suggestion would be go for the Breva Sport.. or if you really do want to go sport/tour? The Norge 4v head... but then I am biased towards Guzzi's.. I love em.

WELL... thing is its still a guzzi aye, I never thought MG could perfect the engine but they have the 1200 4v is awesome, while defnitly different to the 2v's it still has the same fell down low but open it up and holly crap its almost like a real engine.
The Breva (means the wind over como) dosent do it for me tho, to much plastic chrome in all but a defnit all round decent bike, it is the same as the norge and sport of thet era different seat and bars, so try em all.
