not really sure, was just thinking of a half day run out west, maybe old mountain then to temata rd then over hill to Raglan golf club then round the mountian then old raglan rd to oparau for a pie n coke then pirongia west rd then home, weathers looking good for some photos on the coast







since when is Muriwai in the Waikato

Its very close if you trailer your bike up friday night and we throw you in the camper with a sleeping bag and some bread and water

was almost gonna take you up on that, but then realised im running MX tyres so untill i get a dot rated rear im not keen on a motoway excersion

Hey 10bikekid, ive just ordered a new tyre, if its here saterday morning i could be keen for muriwai on sunday maybe, or should i wait for another weekend when the Bigs back

Otherwise wait till I get back from Ausie in a few weeks as DR should be up and running and we can really give the dunes a bash

Ps, am generally a church mouse on Sundays

See you at 8:15 a.m. at the Kumeu BP. I'll need to get back to Auckland before 12:00 so I am just looking to cruise over to Rimmers Road, zip down the beach and get a long black at the Muriwai Cafe. What could possibly go wrong with a plan like that....

You shall see (non agressive tires and 200kg bikes up soft sand inclines )

No probs for time as have to be in Silverdale early arvo and can usually leave home at 730 and be home again by 12 running the full lenght of beach plus stops

Oops just realized another ride group are meeting at Kumeu BP at 8:30 and they usually get there early, (cant do that ride myself as they wouldn't be back till 5 ish) so suggest we re-locate to Muriwai Gas station at 8:15 (on the right on cnr of Muriwai rd and highway 16) also low tide is at 8:20 so that would put us closer to beach by a bit

PS, run down beach from Rimmers will take about 20min as is only about 14km (measured other day) we would have time to head up beach to South Head and back down if you wish (80kms) and still be at Murawai cafe by about 10:30 even if we muck around a bit (could grab coffee at gas station to keep you going till then)
