Knarly stuff eddie, might be a trailer there in full off-road kit.

keen for a summer attack on thompsons prolly late January, ride over gas up/lunch then ride back , can be done, done it before, been a long time though but definitely keen to blow it over this summer, hopefully another drought will get it dry enough

Thumbs up Sunday Ride up the Coast

Long range weather forecast for Sunday the 11th is looking OK

Was thinking of a trek up the coast to Port Waikato, a play on the sand dunes and back home again.

Any other local riders keen or any Jaffa`s that want to come down and meet us half way ?????
Here for a good time, not necessarily a long time

    :
The long-range weather forecast is not too flash for Sunday, though (looks worse for Saturday...) Low tide at Port Waikato is around 6:26 p.m. on Sunday. I should have the KLR back from its service and may be up for a ride on Sunday...
Shit doesn't just happen; there's usually an arsehole involved.

Unlikely starter. But will keep an eye on it if it's not to early. Function on Saturday Night.

I wobbled out through Pirongia/Okuparta/Operau/Old Raglan/Slippery creek,(whoosed out on get my toes wet)/Bridal Veil/Waitetuna Valley, and home to Te Pahu.
Piggy done good, and only one senior moment.
Few wash outs here n there but no traffic and no dust.

after the whanau left this afternoon i was gonna shoot out yours for a coffee, got half way up old mountain and pulled the pin.... after the third car came at me on a right hander on my side i thought F it someones telling me not to ride today so i u turned and nana'd home.
one thing i love about the piggy is when ya have to detour sideways into a drain the suspention soaks it up and spits ya out back onto the road like a pro

Funny that, I had 3 cars on my side of the road in the Hunuas on Sunday and then one mistake on my part on motorway, just as well I was already heading home on the last one so I didn't need to turn around

Lessons learned stay left when going right and don't try to shoot the gap with winter gloves on in slowing traffic
