Weather is looking very crap all week.Too much rain fallen already to make thompsons a good choice for this weekend.
I am Keen on exploring some of the side tracks off the main track on the way to the top from the Te Aroha side but would not get very far at this time of year.
I will pass this weekend, and maybe have a crack at thompsons again later in the year![]()
Here for a good time, not necessarily a long time
Another option for soft one's, any type of tires will get you there (perhaps some Jaffas watching this thread may be interested)
Am considering South Head (Murawia beach Auckland) ride starting from the end of the Murawai Gulf course road
Tide is full low at 8,26 am Sat morn so would want to be on beach at about 8am, its about 55ks up to the end so about 3/4 hr run up there by the time you stop to clean goggles and visors a few times
PS, can do one in the future when tide is a bit later for you South Bombayers
