    Insurance

Since selling my bike and now purchasing a new one I have been with Protecta who during the time I had the first bike had gear cover in their policy.
Upon getting insurance with them for the new bike I've noticed they don't have gear cover in the new policy.
Are there any other insurance companies who have gear cover added to insurance? I don't have contents as my living situation doesn't require it so thats not an option for me.

You should send a PM to DrunkenMistake. He knows all about insurance.

    You're a bad man Madness

Dude... check the recent posts about drunken mistake.

As for insurance, ring the ones you're interested in and ask. Brokers use different companies (who have different terms) so they are a good start (I'm with Kiwibike). Remember, gear will be devalued over the years and there is also a limit usually. If you have good gear it's easily over the limit.

Im with AON - was the cheapest by far and included gear cover and roadside assist :-), kiwibike was actually more expensive than going straight through protecta (who the kiwibike insurance was going to be with)

David Golightly Insurance , underwritten by Vero - specialises in bikes only very good rates and gear cover included.
