If you watch the city you might see the antennas in the hills.

I politely told a lady off on sunday arvo.

Coming up to a 2 lane round about she was coming from the opposite direction, no indicators. I saw her front wheels turning right So I stopped and waited.... Turns out she did a complete U-turn with no indicators on a busy 60km/h 2 lane round about. Best part was the lights down the road turned red so I pulled up to the drivers window and knocked on it (she looked confused and surprised haha). Told her "Use your indicators next time if you don't want to cause a crash".

She just had a dumb look on her face then the lights went green. She looked like a bit of a mong, hope she indicates from now on.

Ah, they had the Dance Exponents playing Victoria last night on C4. A very young Jordan Luck up front.

Yeah, my son asks me how I know the words when I sing along to any of the cover versions that are on the charts these days. Though, I took him to a Jordan Luck concert at the Mount over New Year, heard someone beside me singing away, turned around and found out that my 19 year old son knew all the words. He likes Jimmy Barnes too, we sing "The last plane out of Sydney's almost gone " together when it's on the radio.

Didn't it the Muttonbirds, who did "Dominion Road", also do the original "Anchor Me"?

Yeah, I much prefer Jimmy Barnes on his own. Mainly because I've been to a number of his concerts here at the Mount or up at Coroglen, and I'm just an old rocker too. One concert here at the Mount, he had his three daughters as the first act for about an hour, his brother-in-law Diesel for the second act for about an hour, then did an hour himself with Diesel and his daughters as backing. Half way through his set he said he had an old friend who wanted to do a song with him and on walked Tim Finn with his guitar under his arm, they did their song and then Tim just walked off. Marvellous.

    yeah.. he's pretty cool...

when I was a bit younger (like 20 yrs ago lol), a band I was in made a video out at Karekare falls out by Piha. We got told off because the production company didnt pay for the rights, and "Crowded House were filming there the next day and had paid a fortune for the license.." Hindsight being 20/20 - we should have come back the next day and started filming before CH got there.. In the hope that we might get discovered by Neil Finn.. (although.. they might have been too pissed off - knowing our luck)

Is it the last plane or the last train?

its Plane.. according to the fav lyric engine :P

I left my heart to the zappers round Khe SanhAnd my soul was sold with my cigarettes to the blackmarket man
I've had the Vietnam cold turkey
From the ocean to the Silver City
And it's only other vets could understand
About the long forgotten dockside guarantees
How there were no V-day heroes in 1973
How we sailed into Sydney Harbour
I saw an old friend but couldn't kiss her
And she was lined, and I was home to a lucky land
She was like so many more from that time on
Their lives were all so empty, until they found their chosen one
And their legs were often open
But their minds were always closed
And their hearts were held in fast suburban chains
And the legal pads were yellow, hours long, paypacket lean
And the telex writers clattered where the gunships once had been
But the car parks made me jumpy
And I never stopped the dreams
Or the growing need for speed and novacaine
So I worked across the country from end to end
    [ From: http://www.metrolyrics.com/khe-sanh-...ld-chisel.html ]
Tried to find a place to settle down,
Where my mixed up life could mend
Held a job on an oil-rig
    Flying choppers when I could
But the nightlife nearly drove me round the bend
And I've travelled round the world from year to year
And each one found me aimless, one more year the worse for wear
And I've been back to South East Asia
You know the answer sure ain't there
But I'm drifting north, to check things out again
You know the last plane out of Sydney's almost gone
Only seven flying hours, and I'll be landing in Hong Kong
There ain't nothing like the kisses
    From a jaded Chinese princess
I'm gonna hit some Hong Kong mattress all night long
Well the last plane out of Sydney's almost gone
Yeah the last plane out of Sydney's almost gone
And it's really got me worried
I'm goin' nowhere and I'm in a hurry
And the last plane out of Sydney's almost gone
    (Repeat twice)
