    Woodhill Two-Man X-Country Series Round 2

Well its been a month or two since round one and this weekend is the 2nd of the 3 round series.

Again serious track work has been done and for those of you that did the Mid Winter ride a couple of weeks ago and thought that these were the tracks to be used...wrong...horribly wrong.

And the weather gods do seem to be playing ball again as the long range forecast predicts fine weather until the last rider gets in and us sweep/clean up riders have to get out there and de arrow etc. But as you know when you are looking out the window of your condo and its raining the chances are that our ride area is bathed in brilliant sunshine (we proved it on the trail ride and again last Sunday with the track crew)
Anyway its a cool track with another rythym section chucked in right close to the pits and mid race so something for spectators to view and experience.

Juniors and Novice ladies start at 9.30 ish with a neat 6-7km track (admit some of this was used in the trail ride but has had the machinery over it)
and the Seniors teams race starts at 12.00pm (ish)

Probably most importantly is that its an ideal entry level Cross Country race that is safe and is well below the average kph of 48kph (close to 40kph for the top expert riders) as an acceptable standard.

See you all there and if you have any questions send us a mail. Info is www.endlessdirtbiking.co.nz

Bloody awesome day today and as predicted the rain started after the race, just as we packed up so we had to drink our coldies in the pissing down rain after clean up.

Callum May and Joshy Jack came back to take this round (and congrats to Callum as I hear that he has a factory ride with Yamaha) ahead of Chris Power and Jamie Ainsworth who were the first round winners. Something just didn't click with the Honda team today but I'm sure they will be back for round three to get upenpence.
I think Adam Reeve came in 3rd which is a damn good result for rider that doesn't really ride the sand and trees too much... but then again he is a champ at cross country and they say the cream rises to the top.

We had the No1 MX plate riding today. Yes BT101 put in a guest appearance for a back to racing campaign with his mate Dave Till (Tilley is a bloody neat guy and got owned in the bush today)and they put in a solid performance.

Great day with absolutely not injuries (nothing, narda, zilch!!) with nearly 300 riders, so thanks all you lot who turned up

Oh, I forgot to mention that the Kids and Ladies race track was heaven. I cleaned up after and it was da bomb!! Smiley faces all round.

Yep good day until i hit a stump on lap 2 and cartwheeled down the track with the bike on top. (thanks to the guy that stopped)
A bit of damage to the headlight, plastics and electrics (haven't looked at it yet) but should be an easy fix.
The shake to the brain just switched me off so had to stop.
Still have a headache now and the bruise on the shoulder where the bike hit is going to be a dozzy.

Great track and thanks to all for putting it on. great day.

And to the numbnuts that was screaming at me to let him get past on the tight down hill before the big log, i will pull over when there is a safe place for me to do so.

Yes, said numbnuts does need an uppercut. There was absolutely no where to pull over there and it was the only really short section of tight stuff in the race.

Please remind me at briefing next time to have a rant on rider edicut.

Hey that's a cool shot Phil. Can I post it to her FB wall? ..She did notice you flashing away - as seen in the vid

Yeah I was a bit of a proud dad that day, not too bad a result for her first solo attempt at the 2man
