I don't get what the problem with "cager" is??? I think it's a good way to encompass all.
Maybee you'd prefer the title - 'how long can you ride behind a car, truck, van, SUV, people mover, or ute before you feel the need to overtake'

    Didn't realise colloquialisms weren't allowed.

I'll stop calling my mother "mum" as well.

Please don't go - we're short of people peddling clichés about motorcyclists..

I just get bored with it.
Some motorcyclists have to build themselves up by denigrating other road users and/or treating them like chicanes.
One thread will be like this where someone is complaining about how difficult it is to "law-abidding" and then we have one complaining about ACC levies or the attitude of the public towards us.
    There's probably no relationship, though.

There is also a reason that all classic bikes under 660cc are going to be learners legal, the technology back then is underwhelming compared to a late model Gixxer. 600cc bikes these days have double the horsepower and weigh a lot less than a classic.

A gixxer is slimmer, can filter better, can corner better (a cruiser can't get much lean before it bottoms out), accelerates faster, brakes faster.
    still have both those XS1100's
But need a license to ride them dont I, after 30+ years without a license, I decided to conform. Plus the 250 better for work commuting, and is a heap shit load of fun in traffic, on hills, and embarrassing bigger bikes in twisty sections who think a little Chinese cruiser is a piece of shit.

    It isn't a colloquialism, it's a cliché

    Definition of CLICHÉ
    1
: a trite phrase or expression; also : the idea expressed by it
    2
: a hackneyed theme, characterization, or situation

The worst is when a car is going 90 km/s then speeds up in a passing lane. I was following a group of cars on the way back from the rimutakas then about 4 cars sped, shit you not 140 km/s an hour, all four cars.. Couldn't make it past the last car, then back to 90 k's we go. Sad stuff

It's something you have to go around. Some racetracks have stationary chicane's ... public roads have moving ones.

Cars will normally try pass me after a few hundred meters. When I have the wife on the back they stay behind alot longer for some reason.
Does my arse look good in this?

$30 says I can out ride you on his XS1100 Big ol' girls like that are surprisingly easy to haul around on.
Stating the obvious about a bike designed to go faster or be lighter, will be faster or lighter
$40 says I can pull a wicked skid on his Keeway

I don't suffer from that on one of my bikes.
The other won't even run for a day, so that's not an issue either lol
