Its a very narrow bike compared to most,
But then its a plastic fantastic, Chinese crappy copy thats clocked over 8k in 6 mths without effort, been to the brass, comfortably sits at 110 kph amongst a group of tourers along the Kaikora coast, gets 74 mpg, and is a heaps shit load of fun to ride, as it pisses all you fellas off that's its is actually a good bike, despite all your criticisms. Apart from a regulator failure, which Triumph New Zealand replaced in 24hrs, (better than aprillia I'm lead to believe) at no cost under warrentee.
But my original post in this thread. I guess I should have stipulated for all the brainless ones, was when I am riding my XS1100 Yammy.

Anyways, this is becoming a hoot, I enjoying laughing at all you awesome knowledgeable big bike riders

Isn't it fun making factual assumptions based upon minimal facts with vast qauntites of wisdom and experience about all things unknown

What are you going to do with it after you get your full license ... that would be the question. Be interesting to get a review from a biker who has ridden other mainstream bikes (like a large Yamaha) after say 3 years ownership.

You know what pisses me off? Wankers on bikes that need to pass Me when in the 'cage' then proceed to slow down and bloody hold me up. It happens more often than you would think.
As for a chinese cruiser or an XS1100 being able to outrun a newer sportbike....where do you start

Are you the product of a way to close family? The guy was riding bikes long before dickheads sat behind a computer pretending they can.On the Sportsbike>Cruiser thing, you have a fair bit to learn methinks, theres blokes out there with plenty of ability riding cruisers that would wipe the floor with 1/2 the dickheads riding sportsbikes with no ability whatsoever.A blimp suit and flash helmet means shit.

Id start with whos riding what, contrary to what the internet puts in peoples heads purchasing a newer sports bike doesnt actually mean the act of purchasing gives one the ability to ride the fucking thing. The internet and all its bullshit has taken a toll on reality for sure and none more so than in the world of motorcycling.Theres plenty of guys out there with enough ability to go hard on real world roads on the latest n greatest but theres shitloads more that havent and would actually go quicker on something smaller but that wouldnt suit the image eh,there the guys that get passed on real world roads on old shitters.Funny though you never see them post up about it.

I'd get out run by a girl on a pit bike on my 600. You can outrun superior machines on anything if the superior machine is being ridden slower.

Passing lanes are for cars to pass.

Bikes can pas damn near anywhere, as long as it's with good visibility.

The benefit of bikes is the power to weight ratio, and the resulting ability to create speed differential.

    Have you ridden an XS1100????

But ok, point taken. And I agree and have said myself that too many people buy bikes that are too much and go slower than before. There's many people on here that have had their ass handed to them by a certain bloke on a RG150 on 1000 sprotbikes. I'm talking more generally though, neither the XS or the cruiser have much ground clearance at all (we won't even start on suspension and tyres etc etc) so are severely limited on cornering. Even an average rider on a sprotbike should have no problem despatching either.

Not saying it's not possible, but to come on here and proclaim to be able to see off most guys on sportbikes is a little big headed.
