Yeah, sometimes it's simply due to incompetence.

    Harsh.

I put it down to a lapse in concentration. Whatever the cause, a tad more caution might have avoided it.

I'm not a fan of blaming the 2 psi difference. I find people talking about how the 2 psi like the computer geeks who marvel over the difference between an Intel Xeon E5-2690 @ 2.90GHz and a Dual Core AMD Opteron 280. Bragging rights, chest thumpers. sad really.

Now, if you're talking donuts, THATS a different story. A Cruller or a French Cruller, just can't decide.

2 PSI will be the differnce on track, between a good time and lots of sliding/wobbling. On the road, 5-10 psi has the same effect. For me anyway, but I don't really ride like everyone else so it could just be me.

To make a liar of myself though, when I raced the RF, I did a race on a front tyre at beeding up pressure, 45-50 psi, instead of where I ran the Pilot race normally, around 28-32 depending on track temp. Was all good, but I'm glad I remembered before the flag dropped or it coulda gone well differently.

fuck sake, I never blamed that, all I said the only thing that I would have done different is lesser pressure that and a old tyre is all I can come up with as a maybe issue MAYBE, Im happy with everything else.

It was just a "shit happens" incident ,
Like dropping the front wheel into a hole covered with freshly mowed grass , on the verge of a road.
Like hitting that one marble sized stone mid way around a corner.
like stepping off the bike at a service station, and ending up on your ass because of 100sq mm oil..
    Shit happens,
To be old and wise, first you must be young and stupid.

    Shit happens,
Yeah right. Of course it's got nothing to do with the manner of riding at the time.

Put some bloody passion into it ya pack of soft cocks!

Steve, you aren't even trying! And Darryl, stop ignoring his half arsed critique!

By the way, there are a million reasons that might have caused the crash. But 999,999 are avoidable, and the one that wasn't is because you had a heart attack or some such.
