He has a choice to be there or not.

The result of his non-appearance would be better for him ... than it would be for the offender to not appear in court ....

You may not get many donuts today, not with the showers predicted.

Saw a couple of your guys out there today Rastuscat. Went past the two of them like they were standing still, they didn't even bother attempting to keep up.

I hope they enjoyed their coffee and croissant at the cafe they were stopped at.

I just spoke to one of them. He has whip lash from having watched you go past so fast.

For those that were asking (it's semi on-topic as the incident happened on a feeder to SH75)...

The maximum penalty for this offence is $1000.00
The minimum penalty expressly provided for the offence is____

This is the truth and the approach I try to take at all times. Of course with a time machine you can turn up anywhere 15 minutes before you left. Run that through the distance over time calculation and you could be in for a surprise.

    No surprise?

If you tried getting there at the same time as you left, THEN calculating distance over time you might get a hairy number.

out of interest, rastus, have you ever pinged anyone for breaking the speed limit in reverse?

Couple of hours on Op Mataki yesterday.

Stopped a car for going too slow, turned out to be in breach of her Licence conditions. Imagine that.

Next stop was a bloke riding a classic Trumpy wearing shorts and t-shirt. I know, I know, perfectly legal, but always worth a chat. Turned out to have no motorcycle Licence. Bike reg on hold since 2007.

Next, stopped a bike with no headlight on. His mate stopped too, just down the road a bit, and walked back. Suspicious, we had a look at his bike. It was of less concern than the fact that he had no Licence. Mr No Headlight had no Licence either.

We packed our bags and went home, as it appeared that we were unlikely to find anyone actually legal.

Interesting part was that we had an observer. A journo who writes for bike mags. He was of the opinion that he is totally legal, so he'd be cheesed off if he was stopped for a random Licence check. He was gob smacked at the lack of bike licences. We now look forward to seeing what appears in the bike mags.

Anyway, to anyone who has followed this thread, we will be back out each weekend, see ya there.
