WHAT?
I think we need to separate out traffic enforcement from 'real' policing. It will be a bad day when people don't go to their aid because someone got pinged for breaking a law they knew all about. Possibly not the thing to say on KB but what the hell. Not dealing with your burglary or assault case might be a different matter, but traffic?
Y'know, quite a few people think the same thing...

Dangerous, was this a reportable injury accident you had or what?
Cheers

NO... do you need to report when ya bike falls of the side stand? Im fine, no one round for miles, private closed road bla de bla.
I fully know posting such will just get me shit here, but I did cos not all crashs happen due to non leagle bikes, speeding and what ever else RC is targeting in order to keep the toll down on 75, I however am not against what he is doing.
mate... like in my post explaining the situation, Im fucked if I know what went wrong, everything was correct, me the road the weather alll mint, act off god I dont fucking know and you taking the piss dont help you know me better than that, I fucked up I got out of bed that day. Passed three cop cars and I assume was rastuscat on way to the hilltop sunday and my valentine never picked up any radar........maybe its broke....
I am not aware of any such report since the self reporting system came in. However if there is a near miss and one of the pilots is aware of it and doesn't report it then it is likely he would be investigated and prosecuted.
Near miss, in aviation, is a very subjective term. 40 gliders thermalling in a gaggle with wings crossing over each other and pilot's heads swivelling so fast it,s like they are on a turntable is a potentially dangerous situation, yet as long as the pilots follw the rules mid air collisions are very rare and this isn't a near miss. A light aircraft entering a circuit in a standard overhead rejoin may pass 500 feet above another aircraft already in the circuit. As long as the pilot doesn't descend to circuit height before being in the correct position then this also isn't a near miss. Any small aircraft being sighted by a airline pilot within 5 NM is a near miss to the airline pilot, but not to the pilot of the light aircraft.
I once reported a near miss with a skyhawk in 1988. I was instructing a student in the circuit of a back country airstrip (not a licenced airfield) at an altitude of 500' agl when a skyhawk passed underneath us. I didn't see him until he was almost directly below us, he hasn't seen us yet, so of course didn't self report. Being a wood and fabric glider we didn't show up on his radar.
