No law against it. Trouble is, last time I got me knee down, I ended up married.

    Nuff said.
I'd never thought about the legality of knee dragging before.

Anyhoo, ya don't need to be going fast to do it, and you certainly don't need to be pushing the boundries of safety. Can do it going round a 'round-a-bout' behind a car.

yeah which is why I ask, a guy I know reckoned he got pinged for it cause it was considered "racing" even though there was no other bikes anywhere near him and he was under the posted speed limit when he did it.

    Posted corner speed I dunno.

To be honest he was probably talking shit, he came out to the track one time and he couldn't even get his knee a foot from the ground let alone scrape it.

figured I'd ask while I had the attention of a reputable source.

I can see how an uneducated might see it as racing, see it on racing on TV, see it on the road, racing.

I think you've got split personalities or something. The other conversation I've seen you in, you're a right prat.

From my limited experience said cop is a good bugger who gets slow people movers out of your way.

It was a borderline legit question.

In some state of Orstraylia it's an offense to drive down the right with your arm out the window. No such law here, but it's urban myth that it is. When I was a kid I used to think it was unlawful to drive without footwear. Nah.

Certainly it's not unlawful to get your knee down while cornering, but they may be other laws you're nudging. Like, getting your knee down on a tight right hand bend might mean you are leaning over into the path of oncoming, defying the rule of public stupidity.

Getting your knee down draws attention. It's mostly unnecessary, and could potentially be seen as not the actions of a careful and prudent driver I.e. Careless Driving. I don't think it is, but some might. Better not to risk that call really.

Not unlawful but check your car insurance... This one came from car insurance's having barefeet, socks or jandals (maybee sandals too???) as a reason not to payout in an accident

I was always of the opinion that chandels were illegal to drive with. Looked it up after nearly twenty years driving (oh cunt am I getting to be that guy?) to find I was wrong.

That really pisses me off, because I take exception to people not being fluent in our road rules.

They should be and so should some high heels but I don't think the road rules would dear to try and tell drivers what they should or should not wear. Saw one lass fighting with her robes just to get to the drivers door but still she was going to drive in that get up, but hey that's a crazy religion story so enough said.
