that its great he has a white hat and all as we all know they are the best lids to be seen in... HOWEVER, he realy needs a visor on it as it will help him see where he is going?

    Hope it wasn't too bad.

It's why we do SH75, trying to help prevent things like that.

Was my mate I was riding with, broken ribs, punctured lung, concussion, short term amnesia and a bit of grazing. Will be a few days in the hospital (then his wife will kill him). I was in front and didn't see what happened but it seems he lost mantrol going around a corner.

    Classic SH75 outcome.

Mon to Fri most bike crashes happen in crossing and turning crashes in the built up areas. Weekends they are loss of control crashes on open roads.

Holidays distort the pattern, coz more folk have days off during the week.

Think on this. If I had spoken to you unfortunate friend before his bin and asked him if he was a safe rider, and if he was going to crash, I'd get the same answer I'd get from virtually everybody. Yet crashes still happen.

Ride with caution dudes. I know biking is about freedom, but it's also about getting home unbroken.

Hope your man survives the encounter with his wife.

and pulling speeders on the straights, non licenced and no wof/reg bikes will bring a different outcome?

sorry man, but ya doing it all wrong IMHO... what you are doing will and does make SFA if any differance... if it does its cos illagle riders are staying off 75, hence numbers are down.
Where do most acco's happen? on the straights or sweepers where you patrol and pull... I wouldnt think so I'd think and of course I could well be wrong that most are in the hills where I dont think you patrol... like how can you its bloody hard to exceed 100k there, you might be able to bust out the dangerous or cearless... but then whos to say what that is.

Its still my belief you guys are out there more so for the locals benifit, of course I know saftey for all and bikers is a passion too.
Thing is using Mr last week end land on his arse as a example is not fair... you and me dont know him... yeah he may have been a acco waiting to happen, or he could be like me... with an excess of 300,000k under my belt plus many racing hours a lot on street circuts and after 27 years I arsed up on 75 (except 1 incdent on the track and thats a story on its own LOL) I cant find a reason as to why I went down, was doing everything "right" what ever that is... want to make a differance? talk to the experanced, my opion... well kiwi's always think they know it all are bullet proff and have to prove shit to others.. I know Im one... other thing is a MASSIVE lack of training, so many I follow, its just time...
    cheers DD

How the hell do you guys survive wearing all that gear while just standing around waiting for your next customer?.. It''s not an issue while moving, but I find the couple of minutes in my garage getting everything on and the bike warmed up bad enough, not to mention every set of lights or intersection. I think if I had to stand by the side of the road for more than 5 minutes I'd wind up drowning.

Yep, the ole I'm a (have a) bigger dick than the next guy and my over inflated ego can't let the other guy get away from me...ending with a spell dining on hospital food...seen it often enough. Bit like some holiday swimmers

Speeder speed on corners too - and people tend to overcook corners - a lot more than they overcook straights...but they're easier to stop on straights.
