I wish I knew what happened to me.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
Contrary to the belief that some people on here seem to hold, the fact is that I get no pleasure at all from hearing about people's motorcycle crashes.
What I get pleasure from is hearing others saying "But hang on, instead of paying attention to *such and such* would you not have been better to pay more attention to *some other such and such*"
Because, quite frankly, open discussion and learning from others accidents is the only way forward for motorcycling.
This is what is wrong with biker down threads that try to discuss what happened, they get nasty and opinionated where posters selectively discuss what they think pass for facts and sometimes just digs. Unless the biker themselves starts such a discussion it is not for a bunch of opinionated dickheads to do it for them.last week I had a little scare and it took three to four days riding the same route and studying it to work out the circumstances that put it all together and that with full recollection not affected by trauma and even then I can't say for certain only that it makes the most sense to me.
I don't know the lady or anyone concerned but wish anyone recovering well and take an interest. All the best Sharry and NZSpokes.

I would like to say, that despite some interest in obtaining learning from my accident,, I have no memory of that part of my journey.
Memory loss was not from a head injury it was, in my eyes, a consequence of having my precious bits slammed against the petrol tank at 80 to 100 kph and obtainig two bilateral fractures of my pelvic bones
The serious crashh unit is investigating. Other wise there is no explination as to why cherry took the path she did . She will never ride again.
I am so grateful for all yourr kind thoughts and good wishes![]()
actually I agree with the sentiment that its a bit unrealistic to post up and have a large thread about a motorcycle accident related injury, and expect others to not wonder/want to know what happened. Things can be learned from others mishaps. Im sure that Sharry wishes it didnt happen, and most people would, if given the chance, impart experience and knowledge that might just increase someone elses chances of avoiding a similar fate.
todays quote of the day!
this whole thing where I agree with you has to stop. It gives me a strange fuzzy feeling inside.
best wishes for a fast and pain free recovery from here out. I hope you do share anything you remember or learn from the incident when you have got yourself sorted out better.
When do you start shopping for new bikes?![]()

Ok, it seems perfectly clear to me what this thread is for. We all know the site rules, and in this instance they are being enforced with complete rigidity, as they should be. This is not the place to speculate or any other damn thing. This is a thread for people to be updated on Sharry's progress, and to wish her well. I have just read Sharry's post of having no recollection of what actually happened, and that the serious crash investigators are doing what they are expert at, discovering the cause of the crash. That should be the end of matters for now. She is obviously facing down a big journey to regain her health, and that is what is the most important thing at the moment.
However, human nature dicates we are a curious bunch and frankly I am surprised it has taken so long for the "what happened" questions to start. I guess that is out of respect for the people most affected by this situation. Hopefully in the fullness of time there will be a bit of a discussion about the hows and whys and what can we all learn from it thread started, as I know that this woman is no real risk taker, and frankly I would like to know what happened so it does not happen to me.
In the mean time, lets leave this thread for its intended purpose.
