"then i noticed the huge amount of low down and midrange torque (the torque puts all v-twins to shame)."

Mmm... nah! The K3 is good ( I know, I owned one for a wee while), but it's not THAT good. Pretty much every other aspect of your ride report I would have to agree with, but not the torque comment. That said, if you think the K3 has got good torque, go take a K5 for a ride

    Nah - get a new 750!
Just had 3 hrs back to back - K4 1000 and K5 750 and what a pearler the 750 is.
The K4 was, a bit twitchy in traffic and , although it tipped in quick, if you gassed it up to quick when splitting through traffic it wanted to push the front - almost a case of acceleration being faster than my reaction time - almost rear ended a car I was trying to split a gap with!
But, the 750! Just get on it and go! Hard! Feels like a 600, but with another 25 horses. Stick your 600's, I reckon a 750 point to point would cream them - just so easy to ride fast - far easier than the thou as well - well, probably until you got used to it. There is that thing of readjusting to things far quicker
Felt too tentative on the K4 - always watching the speed and the massive increases for little throttle input, thereof! . The 750, felt more traffic and license friendly
Sorry - 600's just dont do it for me.
The Aprilia Falco I rode did seem far more prone to wheelies from low revs, though - never had a prob with the 2 Suzi's

So - K4 or 750 (for similar money)
The 750 is great, but, perhaps I need to expand my horizons with a challenge - K4?

What aload of shit V-twins are not even in the same fucking world as a Straight 4 . V-twins are just that ! . All the guys I ride with Have very latest model RSVR's Aprilia's they go hard for a Twin I'd say they'd be the best 1 on the road Bar Non !! But on a ride today my 1000 GSXR Just PISSED over them when ever I wanted to . Wake the Fuck up Guys . VTwin are excellent but don't put them in the same Leauge as a Inline , becuase they just aren't

Before you ask, I've experimented wit this before and always kicked arse. I can hoist the front wheel in first gear, at 3000rpm, off the throttle. Show me a twin that'll do that on standard gearing.
    My shitty old VTR.

Sounds like the fours are reputably faster by the responses you've had to your comment, how many late model thous have you ever ridden Dave?

MATE... Are you trying to tell me a vfr800 is a v twin? VTRs are v twins, VFRs are v4s.
There is no dark side of the moon, really, as a matter of fact. Its all dark...
