And the $$ go to the local bike shop. Over here it's Filco.

Ordered some bits through b4b and was surprised to see Filco on the bank statement.

They're getting the sales without having to do any selling. They like it.

    FYI

When I lived in Blenheim I got a couple of tyres from Indendent Tyre Specialists. There was a guy there who had an xr600 and was very good to mororcyclists and kept a pretty good range of tyres there. very good pricing.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

Anyone know of any overseas crowds willing to ship tyres to NZ ?

    http://www.bikebandit.com/michelin-t63-motorcycle-tire

Main NZ tyre retailer has T63 for double the price

Why worry about supporting retailers wearing transparent balaclava's ?

At 800 km on T63 rear - worn real quick - be lucky get 1000 km out of it

A lot of the USA ones won't ship overseas, something about having to ship one way, but rules prohibiting?

I did get a set of tyres from Jake Wilson.

Does not look like wilson does international tyre delivery now, duty should not be much as to my knowledge motorbike tyres not manufactured here - T63's cheap in thailand - might be knock-offs

I hope this is a general winge thread Pete ?

I ordered some front brake pads for the 800 on Tuesday, thinking they'll be here Wednesday for me to put in so I can make sure all is good on Thursday before going for a ride on Friday (clever aye?)
Thursday night and my brake pads are in Timaru !!! WTF ? after being sent from Hamilton I knew at lunch time they wouldn't be here so rang the BMW dealer in a major South Island city to see if they had any, "Errrrr....No" they said but we can getem ex Germany in about 14/15 days and they'll be $181+gst per side and FFS they're a consumable item like oil filters/air filters and tyres. Why is there no stock ?
FWIW after market ones are about $45 per side
I could've rung the local KTM dealer as the 01=06 950's use the same pads, aswell as a few other makes including some Hondas

    End of rant
