Smile Just bought myself a Buell XB12Ss

Will be picking up on Monday. It will be quite a change from my road going RMX250
    Can't wait!

It'll take some getting used to the increase bike weight, but I'll learn to live with it

Nice one. Now all you need is a Drummer SS and an Eric Buell race ECU and you're away!

good stuff man, you'll love it, they are a whole heap of fun, just be careful, you could end up spending your weekends riding the Buell and not the KX
Why would you ride that long and that gnarly stuff if you don't have to, Its what we do, we love it.

Thanks for the positive comments guys. Can't wait to get out there. Yeah it'll take time away from the KX for sure, but there's always winter where the KX is the best fun

I fell in love with the look and sound of the Buell. Then test rode the bike, and it ticked all the remaining boxes for me.

Excellent choice....I would recommend the EBR ECM as I just fitted one with a Barker exhaust to the 1125r..huge difference. Next thing is to join Buell Riders NZ (the NZ Buell owners club)...have a look on Facebook....rally this year is in Waikato...hope to see you there.................

Do not walk ahead as I may not follow.
Do not walk beside me as the path is narrow
In fact FU*K off and leave me alone

250 to 1200 is a helluva jump, hope you're ready for it. Not a great fan of muell's, (had one once taht was very unreliable) but it's a good looker. Keep it upright.

    I hope so too lol.
Though my KX250 makes 56hp at the flywheel if the sales brochures are to believed, vs 103hp. But the kx is heaps lighter (80 or so kg) and doesn't have a throttle, merely an on or off power switch . The buell feels quite calm and collected in comparison.

Hopefully my 07 model has all it's things sorted. If the reviews are to be believed, they state the XB family of Buells are reliable when looked after, crossing fingers

The rally is always the third weekend in November....send a message to Peter the President via facebook.....go to the Erik Buell racing website and have a look. I paid USD305 for mine..some of the best money spent so far on it.
