    RR-Reubix

Hey folks. My names Reuben. Yeah, newbie. My Dad is Rainbow_Wizard. You know, the one with the Voxan. Anyway, I'm 14 and planning on getting my Learners Motorcycle next year. I have an attraction to the CBR250RR, amazing bike. But Dad sais that a 125 will do me fine for a first on-road bike. I'm sorta here to gain experience, listen to stories, and get some good advice from the elders of the rider scene. I am also adept at making little movies with the computer. If any of you want me to make you a moving avatar of about 9 seconds of that movie just PM me. Cheers guys, seeya.

Your dad is right, a CBR would be too much for a learner (like you or me)

I comprimised with dad (he wanted me on a 100) and got my RG150, its a great bike, i really recommend it.
a 250 single would be okay, but learner bike hold their value really well, so having 2 bikes until you get your full isn't a horribly bad idea. with a 125 you will be very quickly, especually if it is a 4-stroke.

    Hope this helps

Cheers guys. Yeah the only thing that I was told by another oldie-rider was the resale value for a 250 is decent enough that you don't loose too much cash when it comes to buying a bigger bike. The latest motorcycle in the shed (Or the only one) is a good old XR80. And it's lasted me for about 5 years now, great bike. I'm hoping to use the funds from that to go towards purchase, gear, petrol, etc. But you guys are right. A 125-150 would suit me fine. Ha! Better than having a Suzu FA50 as a first

Hi there Reubix - welcome to KB. Nice to meet you (and your Dad) on Saturday.

    Being frustrated is disagreeable.

But the real disasters in life begin when you get what you want.
